Coach Brown just finished his 16th year as a college baseball coach, after a long and successful career as a college baseball coach, Brown has decided to focus on youth development.
Coach Brown has spent many years working numerous youth camps. From Vanderbilt University, University of Tennessee, University of Kentucky, and many other schools and clinics. Coach brown thrives on development and fundamental instruction.
While at Eastern Florida State College, The Titans won over 100 games in his time as the head coach at Eastern Florida State. In those three seasons the program has had two NJCAA Division I Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners.
Pitcher Eric Garcia signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies. Drew Cavanaugh signed with the San Francisco Giants.
The Huntington Beach, California native began his collegiate career at Orange Coast (Calif) College, where he played for the legendary baseball coach John Altobelli. Altobelli his wife and youngest daughter were tragically killed in the Kobe Bryant Helicopter crash on January 26th, 2020. Brown also coached with Altobelli in the Cape Cod League in 2012 for the Brewster Whitecaps.
With Altobelli in the Cape Cod League in 2012, Brown had one of his most talented teams as he helped coach Michael Lorenzen, a first-round pick by the Cincinnati Reds. Austin Voth finished third in the league in strikeouts and was a fifth round pick of the Washington Nationals and Tom Windle, a second round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers, that placed fifth in earned run average while playing for Brown. Current Major League Baseball standouts Aaron Judge, Jeff McNeil, and Luke Weaver were all coached by Brown that summer.
He has coached with Vanderbilt University baseball coach Tim Corbin for over a decade and Corbin said this about him. "I have watched Steven grow as a baseball coach for the past 12 years. He is someone who is totally immersed in the kids and their development. His ability to communicate and engage with them is a large reason why kids learn from him. He has a strong passion for the game, continuous energy for coaching and is a sponge when it comes to learning. Steven really has a chance to impact a kids development in baseball."
Brown, his wife Jenna and son Brayden reside in Melbourne.
A Fort Pierce, Florida native, Drew Stubbs brings a strong all-around baseball background to Shoreline Baseball. With 5 years of collegiate playing experience and years of coaching at the youth level, he has developed a passion for teaching the game in a way that connects with players of all ages and skill levels.
Currently serving as an Assistant Coach at Eastern Florida State College, Drew Stubbs is involved in many aspects of player development—from defensive fundamentals and offensive approach to baseball IQ and leadership. He has coached at summer camps, prospect showcases, and private training sessions, earning a reputation for his energetic, player-first style.
Through his training business, he continues to mentor athletes with a focus on long-term growth both on and off the field. At Shoreline Baseball Camps, Drew Stubbs is committed to creating a positive, competitive environment where players can improve and have fun doing it.
